PAUL WRAY
Bass, Rhythm Guitar and Backup Vocals
Paul Wray comes from a musical family. His daddy could play guitar, bass and banjo and Paul began picking up the same skills at the ripe age of 12.
Retired from the U.S. Air Force and an accomplished contractor/home builder, Paul was born in Chicago Heights, Illinois. Through Paul's childhood and his Air Force career he lived all over the country before settling in Knoxville, TN.
Throughout the many changes in Paul's life and career, music was a constant. He played in numerous bands, joining what he calls the "Ramada Circuit", when he was only 14 years old. In 2001 Paul met Craig Sellers and soon the two musicians were jamming on a regular basis in Craig's basement.
Before becoming Craig's on-stage partner, Paul served as the songwriter's manager and guided the launch of Craig's country career. As Craig's career began to rise, Paul found himself supporting Craig on stage, playing bass, rhythm guitar and singing backup vocals, and the jamming continued until the unique sound of SellersWray was fully developed and perfected.
Paul and Craig complement one another as much off-stage as they do on. They motivate each other, creating their unique rock sound. Their on-stage harmonies and chemistry carries throughout and it is not at all unusual to hear them finish each other's sentences. Their commitment to great music is matched by their commitment to the community. Favorite causes include the Fraternal Order of Police and the Children's Advocate Center, and they have performed charity concerts for both organizations.
When not on-stage or further developing the SellersWray sound, Paul enjoys riding one of his collection of motorcycles.
